A couple of weeks ago, Shinay and I had the opportunity to photograph a friend's wedding who also just happens to be a boss of ours! Some might think the pressure is on but really, the whole day couldn't be anything but!
Our bride, Michelle happened to have hired both of us to assist and teach local veterans in the Rochester area on how to use the Adobe Photoshop Program. Her take charge but warm personality that we usually see at work, really came through that day by helping us orchestrate our biggest wedding party yet; 21 people! Michelle had no problem directing and helping us manage all the cousins, aunts, uncles, kids, many other relatives and friends throughout the wedding and reception.
We found the whole day to be much more than a wedding bringing two people together but instead, bringing families together. To see the father/daughter dance turn into father, daughter and granddaughter dance wasn't at all surprising. And the same with Jeff, we could tell how much family really mattered when both Jeff and his brother came to dance with their mother. Meanwhile, many family and friends came together creating a circle surrounding the groups. It was much more than the simple dance or wedding for that matter.
Needless to say, we had a grand time photographing everyone and being a part of such a great day.
