By the end of the 2010 year, Shinay and I had the privilege of photographing a couple of good friends of ours getting married in Ithaca, New York. We have known Heather and Micah since our past college days, learning Italian at RIT and even going abroad to Genoa, Italy together. They are that lovely couple that fit together perfectly while maintaining their own individuality. I remember hearing of Micah's infamous cycling trip across the country and of Heather's previous trip abroad to New Zealand. Each of them brings a special and unique element together as a couple. So it wasn't a tremendous surprise that Micah had proposed and Heather accepted.
Heather and Micah's wedding took place at the beautiful Ithaca Unitarian Church in downtown Ithaca, New York and later, they held a reception at a rustic and transformed old barn called the Lakewatch Inn. We loved the winter decor and warm fireplace that evening. Many of Heather and Micah's longtime friends and family came to celebrate. There was much fun, laughter and dancing.
