A look back in 2010
I realize that today is January 2, 2011 and that the celebrated new year has come and gone but Shinay and I happened to consider our last wedding of the 2010 wedding season to be yesterday with Heather and Mitch at the Woodcliffe Inn and Spa in Victor, NY. [The reason we count Heather and Mitch's wedding to be the last of our season was because we have had a year long relationship with the couple starting with preliminary meetings last year around this time!]
Now we can reflect back at 2010. It's been a busy and full-filling year. We've met some really great people, photographing amazing moments, having fun and doing what we absolutely love to do. Whether we're helping our brides fix their trains, showing the guys how to put on a pair of cuff links or cutting a mean rug on the dance floor with friends and family, we're happy to know that we helped capture and create such wonderful memories.
And personally, I don't think I'll ever tire of the real and pure emotion on a wedding day. Too many times I've been touched by hand written vows being read or parents giving proud embraces of love and care. When family and friends gather to celebrate the spirit and love of two people...it's just unique and real in every couple's own way.
Shinay and I have been very blessed to have met so many wonderful and true people. And not just our brides and grooms! We look back on this past year and will compare the years to come by our wonderful start in Something Blue Photography. We wish all of our brides and grooms, family and friends and those that follow our work a happy, healthy and wonderful 2011!
Cheers,
Erin and Shinay
